I tried using CThumb, but apparently newer versions of Perl do not get along well with it. In other words, it spat some errors at me that I did not feel like fixing, especially since the last release was in 2002. That is not considered active maintenance.
So after bemoaning how the most likely candidate for album generation was useless to me, I scoured the web for a replacement. I found a project called BINS. It is extremely customizable, which makes my programmer's heart happy. Because of other pressing needs, like figuring out what homework assignment are due tomorrow, I have made only a preliminary version of my Albums available. It should still easily be better than the version produced with GThumb, IMHO. For example, you can finally get full-sized copies of by desktop backgrounds. Reason enough to switch, is it not? :^)
