Trying to get emacs22 into gutsy, part 3

The emacs22 package I helped put together is now available for installation in Ubuntu gutsy! It might also be synced to feisty-backports at some point soon, so that those using Ubuntu feisty can share the love.

Awesome work man. I really hope they put it in backports.

I second Luke's comments - well done and backports please!!  A 2007 version of Emacs22 in Ubuntu ? Incredible :-)

Sweet!  Now, when this makes it to feisty, should I stop using emacs-snapshot and start using this?  What would you recommend?  I just want something current and stable.

Bryan:

If you want stable, then use the emacs22 package instead of emacs-snapshot.  Though emacs-snapshot is usually stable -- Romain does a good job with it.
