New responsibilities

I am now the maintainer of Emacs Wiki: Emacs Wiki Mode. Thanks to Sacha Chua, Gary Vaughan, John Wiegley and the Emacs Wiki mailing list for allowing me this privilege. I hope to merge some improvements back and forth between Emacs Wiki and Muse. One of my goals is to make it easier to transition to the use of Muse and strongly encourage its use, since this is the original author's preference.

I have also taken on the responsibility of being webmaster for the Purdue Linux Users Group (PLUG) website. I want to make it more current, and give it a better design. A wiki (you say "wih-kie", I say "wie-kie") would be quite nice to implement. I'm leaning toward using Moin Moin. I am not a fan of their oddly shaped mascot, so he will have to bite the dust.

While I am at it, I should also mention that I registered an irc channel for the group at Freenode.net called #pulug. I anticipate having a few `virtual meetings' in the near future on said channel if I can convince the PLUG executive team of the merits of doing so.

There may have been a website outage thanks to my clumsiness with `.htaccess' files. I apologize for this. Everything should be working fine by now. If it is not, please contact me!
