Even though only 4 people (including me and the officers) showed up for yesterday's PLUG meeting, it was very good. Some Purdue alum from out of the area came by and talked with us. I got two of the PLUG officers registered on the Wiki. We talked about a lot of PLUG history, future plans, and trends.

So here's a bit of history for you. PLUG was doing pretty well a few years ago. Then some presenter used vi on a Micro$oft operating system during his presentation. Half of the group wanted to lynch him. The other half didn't see anything wrong. All of them left. Wow, what a pointless reason to dump a group. Who knows, maybe some of the more annoying people from the #csociety channel were at that meeting ... * /me allows himself some idle speculation.
