I went to the Purdue Linux Users Group today. Within the first half hour or so, I volunteered to maintain their website. It was a good time. A lot of people showed up (in comparison with the 4 at BCLUG, the Bethel College Linux Users Group that I helped start last year). I was able to show Ryan my apartment. It is so nice to be able to speak geek for a few straight hours. There is a tendency when I attend a group like this to stay for as long as I possibly can, because it is such a nice difference from the ordinary.
I am thrilled at having some responsibility in my realm of interest. It will be a nice respite from the boring ordinary tasks like homework. But man, am I ever exhausted from being so social at that PLUG meeting.
