Office work

Ryan and I got a lot of work done in the PLUG Office. Taking our account out of the red is a good thing :^) . I'm about half-done with a form I have to fill out for donations. That was unpleasant, because I had to look for serial numbers.

Next week's schedule looks frightening. I was going to give a presentation on Emacs Power Tools (especially Muse and Planner), but it looks like that will have to wait. I have to have an advertising brochure of some sort and some Compilers homework done by Friday. Two midterms loom ahead next week. I somehow manage to be stressed and yet wanting to avoid dealing with anything school-related.

I came across a cover of Enya's Orinoco Flow by an indie band. The band is called The.Story.Of. It only costs $5 to purchase access to the online version of one of their CDs — it's the first time I've bought music this way, and I'm happy with it so far. I might buy their other CD in the same way and make a combined audio CD for the car. One nice thing about them is that they explicitly allow burning to CD for personal use. Ditto for sharing tracks with "others who may enjoy them", according to their website. They're a band that seems to be worth supporting.
