I received notice from Google that I wasn't accepted for their Summer of Code program. Bummer. Now for some scattered thought fragments.
It's time to think about other things to do during the summer. In particular, I'll try to contact the guy in charge of the CERIAS Poly^2 project and see if I can do some remote work on the project.
Visiting people is also something I'd like to do more of this summer. On that theme, I should be in the Mishawaka around July 4.
One thing that I'd like to do sometime soon is go crazy with automatic links when I blog. For example, anytime I type PLUG, I'd get PLUG. Likewise with CERIAS.
I might be helping make an eBook reader for my calculator, the HP 49G+. I had a similar application on my TI-89, and I miss it at times. Back in high school it was indispensable. The '89 has passed on to another family member, and my poor '49G+ has seen very little attention from me, programmatically or otherwise. Having a laptop probably accounts for that. At least I get to feel 3l33t from having a calc that has an SD card and built-in RPN. It's got better grayscale support than the '89 as well, from what I hear.
I told one or two people that I would try to add to my Philosophy page sometime soon. But what should go on there?
