Instead of skipping past CS 240 to CS 251, I had to drop CS 251. My advisor was sympathetic, which helped some. I still feel like the cumulative effect of missing the cutoff by 5 points and to not be able to take the Multivariable Calc test because they made it insanely difficult (taking into account also the nonacceptance of credit from my Electronics class) is that I am screwed out of a whole semester of credits by the Man.
I lost a credit hour in the process (since CS 240 takes up one less credit hour than CS 251), so I had to take another class to remain at full-time status. I chose to take Astronomy class. This will require me to get on a city bus once a week to go to an observatory, but that is not a bad thing, necessarily. Having to take this totally unnecessary (IMHO) French class makes me feel like I'm at Bethel. Honestly, these requirements make Purdue out to be more of a `liberal arts' college than Bethel by effect! That's just not right.
