I spent a few quality hours at Shaw's parents' house. Staci told me to tell my sister Ruth "hi" for her. Josh (who goes to Purdue) was there. We watched The Secret Window and then Grosse Point Blank. They aren't exactly my type of movie, but the company was great.
Afterward, the TV was turned off and we just talked for about an hour. Conversation is such a nice pastime, especially when I have spent most of this week in rather short conversations with myself. It is good to be able to laugh.
The icing on the cake happened when I got home and watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. I've noticed that several of Studio Ghibli's early films, like Princess Mononoke, revolve around a heroine bringing peace between nature and man. I enjoy this theme, especially after watching movies about pointless death. This is definitely a movie that I will invest in (or hopefully receive for Christmas).
I think one of my biggest turn-offs in Final Fantasy X so far is the way they handle death. I'm going to make a page called Website: Final Fantasy Ten that details my thoughts on the game.
