Floss brands

Here's a stereotypically boring product-recommendation blog post. I generally try to keep this to a minimum, unless I really have a great experience.

After a very painful trip to the dentist last month, I decided to floss regularly. I found it really hard to stick with it, because I was using this G.U.M. brand floss, which sucks. The stuff is too thin, which makes it both difficult to use and painful, due to it going deeper into my gums than I want it to, The dentist gave me two different brands, so I thought I'd try the other one tonight, which is Crest Glide. It was a far better experience this time. The stuff is thicker, easier to use, and much more pleasant on somewhat-bad gums. There was still some bleeding, but I didn't notice it as much. I highly recommend the Crest Glide over the G.U.M.

I started flossing regularly when I decided to leave the military.  Eventually your gums will become healthier and flossing won't be such an ordeal.  I use generic ribbon floss by Walgreens.  It does not shred when going between extremely tight molars.  It is also easy to extract.  It really stinks when floss gets stuck.

Next year, your dentist will be proud of you.  Mine heaped the praise on my gums and teeth this year!
