I met this really annoying IRC op today. He tried to subtly hint to one of the members of the channel that he felt that the person was a troll. He did so by putting them as a -1 on the access list, which had no real effect. Somehow, the observant person caught on to this, brought his friends over to ridicule the op, and a firefest begun.

Yep, the op was me. After eventually bumbling my way to devoicing the entire channel, I gave up for the moment and removed all of the changes that I had made.

I did not ban anyone during that time, since that was such a drastic action, and they were changing nicks on me anyway. But when some members started stirring and checking out what exactly had happened, they were kicked out of the #csociety channel.

That managed to waste the entire four hours I had to work on projects. From now on, if someone directly insults me more than a few times, instant banning. No questions asked. No appeal, for a while. I do not have time for this silliness.
