I graduate this December, which means that I would like to be employed soon after, starting January. In hopes of making this task a little easier, I've made my resume (and the longer CV) available on my website. Consider this post an invitation for potential employers to contact me regarding openings, preferably via the email address me AT mwolson DOT org.

Here are some positions I could see myself succeeding in, though this is by no means an exhaustive list.

• LISP hacker
• Free/Open Source developer, potentially in a variety of languages
• System administrator (GNU/Linux, UNIX)
• Systems programmer

Conversely, here are some things that I do not want to be doing.

• Windows administration
• Windows development (unless this is just a small portion of the job, and there is a suitable GNU/Linux or UNIX focus for the remainder)
• Significant amounts of heavy lifting (I have a bad back)
• Solicitation

I'm willing to relocate to just about any part of the country, though potential jobs in places where it is more expensive to live would need to supply proportionally higher wages compared to those in less-expensive locations.

Why you want to hire me:

• When something needs to be done, I stick with it until completion.
• I am capable of prioritizing my efforts.
• I have a literary bent, and am quite good at writing and expressing myself.
• I am able to independently research tasks that I do not know how to accomplish, and can synthesize knowledge from several sources. Nonetheless, I remain teachable.
