A friend introduced me to Kirby's Adventure (originally for NES console, but available on the Wii via virtual console) last weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed it then, so I purchased it this evening for my own Wii. It made for a lovely transition from "putting off homework" mode to "doing homework" mode — I had to bring homework home today due to some digestional weirdness. I really dig it for being a relatively easy and forgiving game with lots of creative ways to attack foes (tornado and wheel abilities FTW). The levels that are just the right length for a quick hit. The music is catchy and sticks with you. I need to find more games with these attributes.
One such was ".Hack", though its levels tended to be a bit too long for casual play. Nonetheless, getting a single anime OVA DVD with each .Hack game I purchased was a plus. The notion of playing a simulated (read: one-player, non-networked) MMORPG never fails to amuse me when I think about it.
