Better adjustment to my environs

French class went much better than I expected today. The prof used English, which helped me to understand what was going on a little better. She also shared more of the expectations of the class, one of which is to read a chapter of the book before class so that we are prepared to participate in the activities during class. I can live with that.

Thanks to my Dad for following up on a lot of my blog entries! It helps keep me sane. I think I may have to practice meditation. Not the Eastern kind, but just a simple acknowledgment of dependence on God once in a while. Doing so certainly seemed to help with French class. If I am concurrently laying down in a posture that is good for my poor back, all the better.

I bought the last of my books and returned the one that I did not need anymore. It only ended up being about $69.21 . It will be nice to have a copy of the original book on the C programming language by Kernighan and Ritchie. I was going to buy that one online, but they had a used copy for only $33.25 in the bookstore. Next semester, I am going to be doing some comparison shopping when buying books. :^)
