I don't have enough to feel comfortable getting a Wii yet, so I thought I'd pick up just the controller so that I could play at a friend's house later this week. I tried to purchase a Wiimote this afternoon, but to no avail. Apparently people exhausted the supply when getting their Wiis yesterday. So I settled on picking up a copy of the new Zelda game for Wii and reading the insert booklet.

On second thought, maybe I won't bother getting a separate remote, since that would mean I'd have two of them once I get a Wii. I haven't had the opportunity to do multiplayer on the game consoles I own since Freshman year in college, so it would probably be a waste.

One improvement that I note so far is that the games for the Wii are DVD-size. I can't tell if they're proper DVDs, since my computer wasn't able to read the Zelda disc. The GameCube I used to have felt like a toy because of its small-sized game discs.
